Today i will tell you one real life incident that happend to one of my friend

Mr.akbar as purchased a brand new Toyota car & after that he took a car insurance for the period of 2018 - 2019 and he has done a lot of comparison between lot of car insurance companies before choosing a car insurance policy because he knew that car insurance was very important.his house didnt have the space for parking a car so what he did was he parking his car outside his house. But the problem was that there where many rodents and mice in that area where he lived. but he had no other choice other than parking his car outside his house and these mice and rodents where freely roaming around in that colony area causing all kinds of troubles and damages to the properties around.

After few days Mr.akbar decided to go for a trip with his family on his new car and they where all happy but the happiness didnt last long. when he was trying to start the car it was not starting & he did everything possible but the car was not working so he checked his car to find out what the problem was and he found out that the many of the wires connecting to the car engine system was chewed off by the mice and rodents.

So Mr.akbar took his car somehow to a nearby automobile workshop and after a long examination the car was fixed but the repair bill was more than he could handle

Mr.akhar shared the incident to his car insurance company which he trusts alot saying that loss was occurred due to mice or rodent damage and the car insurance company sended their employee to examine the car and after few days he got a mail from the car insurance company saying that the claim was rejected and that really broke his heart because he trusted that company a lot.

Than Mr.akbar had a face to face conversation with the insurance company and they said that the damage was caused by wear and tear and not by rodent or mice bite and they rejected his claim again.

But even a 6th grader could easily identify that the wires of the car where chewed off by a mice or Rodent but the company was not willing to pass the claim.

This bad behavior from the insurance company forced Mr.akber to file a complaint against the company and later akbar won the case and everyone came to know that the damage was caused by mice which is accidental and the insurance company was forced to settle the claim amount with akbar.

 

How to stop mice or rodent from destroying your vehicle?

If you want to prevent rodent damage on your car than the following preventive measures are needed to be taken.

 

1.Do not throw leftover food outside

If you throw out your leftover food outside or somewhere near to your car than there is a high chance that it will attract dogs,rodents and mice to that food leftover thrown place and mice or rodent might think  that “yea this is a good place to find food” so they will try to find hiding place near your car(if the food is thrown near your car) and they might cause damage to your vehicle.

 

2.Always stay away from mice or rodent filled zones

Always avoid parking your car in rodent filled zones such as forest,drainage areas,shrubs,leftover food thrown areas etc..if you want to park your vehicle always park it in open areas

 

3.Seal the mice or rodent hiding places

Try to find places where the rat,mice or rodent might be hiding in your home and seal it or you can also hire a Mice control or Rodent control Expert in your locality to do that job for you.

 

4.Protect the vehicle Engine

Cover or block the entrance to your car engine with any available material or consult a garage and they might help you with your problem.
